It has been a while since our last blog.  Lots of "water under the bridge" so to speak.  We've enjoyed just looking at Dale's picture and remembering the nice trip we had last spring.  And you know, even though at that time we surveyed the Rawlins Cemetery anticipating them to be buried there, I think he's fine  with his body being in Boise.

When we cleaned out the Green River house, we found an old box belonging to Grandpa and Grandma Huggins. I told Georgia about it and she graciously gave us permission (on behalf of the surviving sisters) to take a look at the letters.

So thanks to Georgia, we have a new project.  We will scan and publish the letters written by Grandma to Grandpa Huggins (Maude to Meb) while he was working in Wyoming and Idaho.

There are about 20 letters which go right up to 2 days before they were married in 1924. The letters give us a glimpse into the concerns, struggles and local color of the times.

We're going to connect it with a separate listing to keep them together.
Here's the envelope of the first  - watch for the upcoming address on the side options.

Rawlins this weekend

We had a nice trip to Denver over the weekend and stopped by the cemetery. Thought you night like a look at the headstones and the Huggins home - it looks really nice and well kept.
